Exia Temperature Sensors

H&b Sensors are licensed to manufacture intriinsically safe ATEX Exia Temperature Sensors and assemblies incorporating either a PRT or thermocouple sensor.

Using either our Type 11 or Type 50 series intrinsically safe connection head, H&b Sensors manufacture Exia Temperature Sensors and assemblies to exact customer requirements including immersion temperature sensors with or without thermowell, pipe mounted surface temperature sensors and wall mounted air temperature sensors.

The Type 11 Exia Aluminium connection head is rated to IP65 and is available with an M20 x 1.5 cable entry.

The Type 50 series Exia range of housings are all rated to IP68 and are available in Aluminium or 316 Stainless Steel with an option of either M20 x 1.5 or 1/2" NPT cable entries. In addition an optional viewing window can be specified when incorporating a digital display.

H&b Sensors stock a wide range of suitable ceramic terminal blocks and Exia temperature transmitters including options for HART®, Profibus®PA and Foundation™Fieldbus communication.

Depending upon your temperature measurement and process requirements there are a number of options available including sensor type, sheath diameter, immersion length, grade of material, extension piece and process connection.

Exia hazardous area equipment must always be installed and maintained by a qualified engineer familiar with the relevant requirements for installation of equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres.
