Exd Temperature Sensors

H&b Sensors are licensed to manufacture explosion proof ATEX Exd and IECEx Exd Temperature Sensors and assemblies incorporating either a PRT or thermocouple sensor.

Using our Type 50 series Exd explosion proof connection head and flame path collar, H&b Sensors manufacture Exd Temperature Sensors and assemblies to exact customer requirements including immersion temperature sensors with or without thermowell, pipe mounted surface temperature sensors and wall mounted air temperature sensors.

The Type 50 series Exd range of housings are all rated to IP68 and are available in Aluminium or 316 Stainless Steel with an option of either M20 x 1.5 or 1/2" NPT cable entries. In addition an optional viewing window can be specified when incorporating a digital display.

H&b Sensors stock a wide range of suitable ceramic terminal blocks and temperature transmitters including options for HART®, Profibus®PA and Foundation™Fieldbus communication.

Depending upon your temperature measurement and process requirements there are a number of options available including sensor type, sheath diameter, immersion length, grade of material, extension piece and process connection.

Exd hazardous area equipment must always be installed and maintained by a qualified engineer familiar with the relevant requirements for installation of equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres.
